The patronship of Tailwheel Meet 2022 will be in the skilled hands of Luc 'Sleepy' Van der Spiegel. A former military pilot, +10k hours (airplane and helicopter) with a longtime connection with our airfield. Civil flight instructor mono and multi-engine since 1974.
Over that period of time, a lot of (tailwheel) pilots have experienced very interesting and instructive checkrides with Sleepy.
An interesting footnote in his flying career is the fact that besides being a test-, VIP- and State security pilot he also flew missions as VVIP pilot for the Royal House of Belgium.
