Jean-Pierre De Cock

Jean-Pierre De Cock is taking care of the patronship of the 2017 edition of Tailwheel Meet. Jean-Pierre earned his glider pilot license way back in 1958 and became a private pilot in 1970. Very soon he tried to persue a military flying career but a medical problem with his right eye decided otherwise. After some 600 flying hours of which an extensive part in Sia Marchetti SF260 he decided to quite flying and re-focussed on writing. Since 1978 he is the author (or co-author) of 45 pu...blications (in 4 languages) covering historical, technical or flying issues in civil, leisure and military aviation. Since 2013 he is administrator of 'Les Vieilles Tiges de l'Aviation Belge', an organization that gathers civil and military aviators in order to commemorate our aviation history and promote friendship.
Since the start of our fly-in, some 12 years ago, Jean-Pierre has always sympathized our initiative and we are very proud that he accepted our request to patronize Tailwheel Meet 2017!!
